Accidental Death & Dismemberment
The Insurer will pay this benefit up to the Maximum Limit shown on the Schedule of Benefits if: (a) the Insured is injured in an accident which happens while he/she is on a Trip and covered under the policy; and (b) he/she suffers one of the losses listed in the Description of Coverage within 365 days of the accident. The percentage of the Maximum Limit payable for each loss is shown in the Description of Coverage. The Insurer will not pay more than 100% of the Maximum Limit for all losses due to the same accident. See the Description of Coverage for complete details. |

The insurer will pay for covered emergency evacuation expenses incurred if an insured suffers an injury or sickness while he or she is on a trip that warrants his or her emergency evacuation. Covered emergency-evacuation expenses are the reasonable and customary charges for necessary transportation, related medical services and medical supplies incurred in connection with the emergency evacuation of the insured. All transportation arrangements made for evacuating the insured must be by the most direct and economical route possible. |
